STRUCTURAL COMPOSITES

Prodrive's engineers have vast experience in developing structural composite components and chassis. Our technical director John McQuilliam, has overseen the development of more than 15 composite chassis, for cars racing at Le Mans and in Formula One. Prodrive also developed its own full monococque chassis for the AMR-One LMP1 car.

The skills developed here can be directly transferred to the development of monocoque composite chassis for sports and other road cars. We have the facilities at our composite factory in Milton Keynes to create them.

COMPOSITE DOOR STRUCTURE

Prodrive was asked to develop a composite door structure for a leading global vehicle manufacturer and ensure it met the latest crash test legislation

VANTAGE GTE

We not only create all the bodywork for the new Vantage GTE but we also manufacturer the structural cooling ducts in the engine bay too.

ROYAL NAVY BALLISTIC PROTECTION

We were asked by BAE Systems to design and manufacture gun emplacement and ballistic protection systems for a range of Royal Navy ships.  The lightweight structure had to cope with the recoil of medium calibre weaponary.

AMR ONE

created the Aston Martin AMR One LMP1 racing car which featured a fully Prodrive-designed monocoque chassis.
