HYPERCAR HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
A hypercar manufacturer needed to develop their existing design into a fully working electro-hydraulic system but had extremely tight space constraints and deadlines.
THE
CHALLENGE
A luxury automotive OEM had already publicly committed to making a hypercar based on F1 design principles. Given the design’s tight tolerances the OEM approached us to help manufacture the full hydraulics system across their test vehicles knowing our previous experience with road-going supercar and hypercar active aero & hydraulic systems.
WHAT
WE DID
Highly skilled technicians led the project, using their experience to identify & suggest design modifications more appropriate to road car manufacture. Skilled assembly of expensive parts reduced the need for inspection & test by being able to work to the required precision, repeatably.
The ability to build test rigs and perform end of line testing, all on one site, using our onsite clean room and climate chamber helped meet the client’s demanding schedules.
THE
RESULTS
After building and validating systems for 8 sequential prototypes, were awarded the contract to manufacture the final systems for 150 production vehicles. In addition, client cost and time downstream were reduced through our design suggestions.
