MOTORSPORT
Prodrive is the world’s most successful multi-disciplined motorsport businesses and the business behind some of the greatest names and achievements in world motorsport. No other business has won so many titles across such a wide range of motorsport disciplines from World Rally titles for Subaru with Colin McRae, Richard Burns and Petter Solberg, to world sports car and Le Mans titles with Aston Martin and Ferrari; and British Touring Car Championships with BMW and Ford.

For the past 20 years we have helped run the Aston Martin Racing teams in world sportscar championships and have built nearly 400 Aston Martin racing cars for customers and support them in winning championships in every corner of the world.
In 2024 we have already competed in the Dakar Rally with Bahrain Raid Xtreme and continue to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Aston Martin Racing customer teams.
ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
For the last two and a half decades, Prodrive has transferred its skills and agile approach to developing innovative engineering solutions for businesses in the automotive, aerospace, marine and other industry sectors.
Today you will find us working on ground-breaking projects for niche vehicle manufacturers, such as the creation of the Volta fully electric truck; the most advanced active aero systems; and luxury interior systems for executive cars and jets.
We have developed a particular technical specialism in electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as electro-hydraulic and electro-mechanical actuation systems. But beyond our broad technical capability, what brings our clients to us, is our ability to accelerate the development process by taking their ideas to proof of concept and on to the prototype stage far quicker than they could ever do themselves.
OUR BUSINESS
Prodrive was founded by its current chairman, David Richards in 1984. Initially a small team of a dozen people running a rally programme for Porsche, the company has grown in the last three decades to become not only one of the most respected names in motorsport, but also an advanced technology business. Today it employs nearly 500 staff in the UK and has four distinct but interconnected businesses:
COMPOSITES
We design and manufacture advanced lightweight composites for a wide range of applications on the road, in the air and at sea – across automotive, motorsport, aerospace, marine, defence and other specialist sectors. In automotive our clients include nearly all the UK’s leading sports and luxury car manufacturers for who we create beautiful interior and exterior visual carbon trim, as well as lightweight composites bodywork. We have created first class cabins for the Boeing Dreamliner; components for helicopters, drones and now the latest vertical takeoff electric aircraft.
Our composites business employs more than 150 people and is the largest of its kind in the UK. We manage the whole process from component design and production of the tooling, to volume manufacture with CNC machine trimming with a clear coat lacquer or painted finish. We will also provide delivery and logistics support.
BRAND&
Brand& is our business that creates bespoke clothing and accessory ranges for a range of high profile global brands. Our clients include automtoive brands such as Aston Martin Racing, McLaren, Hyundai, Toyota and Ford, but also othjer sporting brands such as Liverpool FC, the Rugby World Cup. All of who come to us to create ranges tailored to their needs.
Our designers ensure the ranges reflect the essence and personality of our clients’ brands by using the latest technical fabrics and materials. Nothing is ‘off-the shelf’, every item is designed by us and manufactured under our guidance. We even manage the sales and distribution of the ranges through dealer networks or direct to the public by creating bespoke ecommerce websites for each range.
